Great Wakering Rovers are back in action this week as they face two away trips for the new year.

On Tuesday evening, they face Halstead Town in the quarter final of the Peter Butcher Memorial Trophy. Rovers reached the semi finals last year and are hoping to equal their efforts for this year.

They've made it to this stage of the cup after beating Benfleet and Buckhurst Hill and Halstead Town have beaten Athletic Newham and Ilford to reach this stage.

On Saturday 18th, rovers will round off the week with a big match against fellow playoff contenders Saffron Walden Town.
